- Mark Azzopardi is an educational leader and Deputy Head at St Paul’s Bay Primary within Maria Regina College, where he has dedicated more than twenty years to the education sector. Working in one of Malta’s most diverse school communities, with students from over 50 nationalities, he has actively promoted innovation in teaching and learning through initiatives in S.T.E.A.M., robotics, ICT, literacy, environmental education, and cultural awareness. He holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons) from the University of Malta and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Leicester, together with further studies in digital marketing, artificial intelligence, robotics, and S.T.E.A.M. education. Mark also serves as a visiting tutor at the University of Malta, the Institute for Education and also lectures with IDEA College Malta, supporting the professional development of future educators. Throughout his career, Mark has represented his school and Malta in various international educational projects and conferences, particularly through Erasmus+ collaborations and Microsoft education initiatives. He is a strong advocate for the meaningful integration of technology in education, blended learning, digital inclusion, and student creativity. His work continues to focus on creating engaging, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments that empower both students and educators. Beyond education, Mark is also active in the media and communications sector, having produced and hosted television and radio programmes in Malta for over two decades, while also contributing to community and cultural initiatives.
